A Thought From The Pastor

"My soul shall be joyful in the LORD; It shall rejoice in His salvation."
- Psalm 35:9

When it comes to attitude and disposition, there is probably no more effective witnessing tool than living in the joy of the Lord and having those around you be drawn like a magnet to you and ask why you are always happy and upbeat and happy.

When Paul and Silas responded to their beating and jailing by praying and singing hymns. God showed up big time, and even the jailer and his household were saved. Jesus commands, "rejoice and be glad". The Fact that Scripture mentions "rejoice" and "joy" almost 500 times makes it very clear that they should be an integral part of the life of every believer.

Smile and the world smiles with you or whine and complain and be a wet blanket to all those around you. Most importantly, how can we expect the Holy Spirit to dwell in a temple of gloom and doom? Remember the old song "I've got that Joy, Joy, Joy down in my soul..."? I encourage you to remain joyful and rejoice in al circumstances letting your light shine to everyone around you.
